Joe & Catherine Palmieri opened the Lamp Book Ministry in 1989, soon after
Catherine returned from her visit to Medjugorge. When Catherine needed a few
books about Medjugorge for her prayer group, Joe & Catherine decided that other
groups may want this type of religious book. Thus, with 24 books, the "Lamp Book
Ministry" was born.
The name has been called the "Lamp Lighter", "Lamp Post", "Lamp Stand" and simply
the "Lamp". Clearly it could be called the "Catholic Store", because 100% of the
business is directed to the Catholic market. "Lamp" was inspired by Psalm
119:105 "Thy Word is a Lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path" -- a great
message for all Christians.

Lamp Book Ministry's inventory consists of more than 600 medals which include,
the Miraculous Medal, the most famous medal ever, St. Joseph, St. Michael, St.
Anthony and such rare ones as St. Kevin, St. Daniel and St. Genesius. If the
medal is manufactured, Lamp Book Ministry will do their best to locate it for
you.
As for statues, the Lamp Book Ministry stocks scores of well known and obscure saints. They also have access to the inventories of several importers as well as
manufacturers. Again, if the statue is made, the Lamp Book Ministry will do
their best to locate your request. The most recent items to be added to the
