Joe & Catherine Palmieri opened the Lamp Book Ministry in 1989, soon after Catherine returned from her visit to Medjugorge. When Catherine needed a few books about Medjugorge for her prayer group, Joe & Catherine decided that other groups may want this type of religious book. Thus, with 24 books, the "Lamp Book Ministry" was born.
